"Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus" (2 Tim 2:1)
Was reminded recently that urging others to just "be strong" is not necessarily helpful, for the bottom-line is it's up to they themselves to buck up under pressure.
But to "be strong IN THE GRACE THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS" is a totally different matter. It is a wonderful reminder of the good news that the Lord is generously at work in all things according to his kindness and goodness, ESPECIALLY when we are weak and seemingly helpless.
That's when we become even more aware that he is with us, and what a wonderful privilege indeed it is to have the King of kings call us his "friends". If he is for us, who or what can be against us?
So "Be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus"! And may the joy of the Lord be our strength.
